Buck Angel made a recent trip to NYC during Gay Pride. He loves the city because it is so different from where he lives in Mexico and the people of NY are always so good to him. He flew in on Thursday June 25 to perform at The BOX. He was in Los Angeles before that to take care of some business and see his family. He also started to do CrossFit. It’s a new way of working out that is pretty amazing. He loves going to the gym to pump weights but felt like he needed something new. He feels that his body has hit a plateau and is not really changing as much as he would like. So now he is fixing up his gym in Mexico to do more CrossFit in addition to Yoga–and weight lifting, of course.

Saturday night before Gay Pride Sunday he hosted open bar at the FWORD club in NYC for a few hours. Formika and Jasper James were the hosts. He had such a great time and lots of fans came to see him. The one thing that he really loves to see is how diverse his fan base is becoming. There were all these girls who were so excited to see him and take photos with him.

Lux from Fleshbot came to see him and so did his friends Andi and Caleb. It was great to hang out with them. After that, he took Lux with him to his performance at The BOX.

Andi is a very old friend of his and she is also the lead singer for the punk rock band Snap-Her. Her music is on the Buck Angel film V for Vagina. She rocks!!

Buck’s buddies James P and Bryan who DJ in NYC love wearing Buck’s shirt to spin in. They sent him this photo of them spinning on Saturday night. Buck loves that T-shirt. Check out his shop to purchase it.

This artist in NYC sent Buck this painting he did of Buck without any tattoos. It’s cool but he likes his body better with tattoos. What about you?

So now he is back home in Mexico working on his next trip. He will be going to Smitten Kitten in Minnesota to do a workshop and DVD signing. They are working on setting him up to do a performance in a club as well. Looks like he has a pretty big fan base there.  That is awesome.

He was also contacted by some gay  party promoters in Barcelona, Spain to perform August 1. That sounds amazing as Buck has never been to Barcelona.

Buck got another interesting letter, this time from someone who admits that he wasn’t initially positive about who and what Buck is. But he acknowldeges that he was wrong to judge, and comes around to appreciating Buck for being himself:

I have to admit that you seem to be a very cool guy. Would love to take a beer or two with you really. I just watched your interview (The netherland-one on Jensen Show), and you seem to be a very humorous and cool person. I did really have some kind of prejudice towards you when I first heard about you, and these all kinds of questions arised in me: “Why? Who is “THAT”? What was the reason? What does IT sound like?” and so forward. I didn’t seem to look at you like a normal person, but as some kind of object, thinking of you as “IT” like some Frankestein monster. And I admit I was totally wrong. It is hard to admit stuff like that as an adult man, but I still did it.

You have affected my view about world quite much; There are different people, and different persons. You are just one among us, and I consider you as “Cool guy”. Prejudice is always bad, and you have proved my perjudicions once again wrong. You are a cool person, open-minded and as Jensen said, HAPPY PERSON!

Good luck be with you with everything you do. I am not myself into porn-industry itself, nor porn, but I appreciate what you do! For example you said in Jensen show; “70 000 dollars is a lot of money!”, it’s not what you usually hear from rich person! I mean man, you are cool. Keep it, keep it living, you are one of the people affecting our current culture, even in “underground-scene”, that porn still is to some people.

Pre-transition I wanted to transition very badly, but never thought i would. I thought that as a Transman i would have to get bottom surgery to be “real” and wouldn’t be able to give up likeing to ‘bottom’ every now and again.

When I finally stumbled across your site, I actually might have cried a little. Because I thought, here is someone who has actually done it. Has said this is what I am, fuck you if you don’t like it.
I don’t want to say I never would have started the transition process without seeing your site, but I think I would have started a lot later and been a lot more trepidatious about my future.
